Brazil is always a leading important partner of Vietnam in Latin America, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu has affirmed when being received by Brazilian Vice President Hamilton Mourao on April 22.

Buenos Aires (VNA) – Brazil is always a leading important partner ofVietnam in Latin America, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam CentralCommittee and National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu has affirmed whenbeing received by Brazilian Vice President Hamilton Mourao on April 22.

Luu said that Vietnambacks Brazil’s participation in the United Nations Security Council when it isexpanded, and thanked the country for supporting Vietnam’s candidacy for anon-permanent seat in the council in the 2020-2021 tenure.

Mourao, for his part,stressed that Brazil always considers Vietnam a reliable partner and givespriority to the country in its foreign policy.

He showed his hopethat both sides will try their best to boost two-way trade and investment.

On the same day, NAVice Chairman Luu had a working session with Acting Governor of the FederalDistrict of Brasilia Paco Britto, during which he expressed his delight atvisiting Brasilia on the occasion of the capital city’s 59th foundinganniversary and witnessing many celebration activities.

Britto emphasised hisinterest in cooperation in culture, economics and sports with Vietnamesecities.
