Book on 70th anniversary of Vietnam-Russia ties launched

The Kim Dong Publishing House has released a pictorial book series written by Russian authors to mark the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Year and the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Year in 2019.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Kim DongPublishing House has released a pictorial book series written by Russianauthors to mark the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Year and the Russia-VietnamFriendship Year in 2019.

The publication is also intended tocelebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Russia diplomaticrelations in the next year.

The series, created by Vitali Bianki andVladimia Sevchenko, is based on a journey of two elephants which were Vietnam’sgift to Saint Petersburg city of Russia in 1954.

The elephants have become a symbol of friendshipand solidarity between the two nations, which was fostered by late President HoChi Minh./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
