Hanoi (VNA) – Indonesiansecurity forces discovered two separate items suspected as bombs that wereaimed at two high-ranking Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officials.
Speaking with reporters on January 9, IndonesianNational Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo said an explosive device wasfound in front of the private residence of KPK Chairman Agus Rahardjo in Bekasiwhich borders Jakarta, while another was seen in front of KPK Deputy ChairmanLaode Syarif’s house in South Jakarta.
The two devices were brought to a safe areafor further investigation. Initial information from police revealed that theyare petrol and pipe bombs. Security has been strengthened at the two locations.–VNA
