Bangkok (VNA) – At least six member of a ranger patrol were injuredwhen a roadside bomb exploded on the morning of January 10 in Thailand’ssouthern province of Pattani.
Theywere on board a pickup truck patrolling a road in Nong Chik district near aschool.
Policewere investigating the case.
Earlierin May 2017, a double explosion in Muang district – the centre of Pattani –wounded 59 people.
Theprolonged religious conflicts since 2004 have provoked daily violence in theThai southern provinces of Yala, Pattani, Narathiwwat, and Songkhla.
Attacks in the region have killed 6,600 people so far.-VNA
