Binh Phuoc hosts photo, film exhibition on ASEAN Community
An exhibition featuring photos and documentary films about the ASEAN Community is taking place in the southern province of Binh Phuoc from December 15.

Binh Phuoc (VNA) – An exhibition featuringphotos and documentary films about the ASEAN Community is taking place in the southernprovince of Binh Phuoc from December 15.
The event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Information and Communicationsin coordination with the provincial People’s Committee.
On display are 300 photos and nearly 60 documentary films by directors fromASEAN member countries which spotlight the beauty of land and people, andculture of regional nations.
Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications HoangVinh Bao said the exhibition is part of the Vietnamese Government’s actionprogramme in the 2017-2020 on promoting communication activities about ASEAN,the formation of ASEAN Community and benefits it brought to regional people.
The exhibition demonstrates Vietnam's desire to join hands in building an ASEANCommunity for peace, stability, development, contributing to raising the publicawareness of current issues such as environmental protection, climate changeand ethnic groups in the ASEAN Community, Bao said.
Hanif Salim, Indonesian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City said the exhibitionshows the intra-bloc solidarity, and imparts knowledge and understanding of theASEAN Community to young people, thus further strengthening cooperation effortsto turn ASEAN into a region of peace, progress and prosperity.
Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Tuyet Minh said theevent offers a chance for Binh Phuoc to promote its potential, and investmentopportunities in the locality to domestic and international investors.
