Binh Phuoc (VNA) - The southernprovince of Binh Phuoc wants to cooperate with Japan in developing hi-techagriculture, said a local official.
Speaking at a meeting with the MurayamaMemorial Japanese Language School (JVPF – Murayama)’s HCM City branchon July 14, Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Nguyen Van Loiexpressed his hope that the school will serve as a bridge connecting theprovince with Japanese enterprises in training human resources and sharingexperience in developing smart agriculture.
Director of the school’s HCM City branch VuQuang Luan suggested the province send local students to Japan to learn abouthi-technology agriculture, while Japanese farmers share with the locality theirhands-on experience in the field.
The school will enhance cooperation in training andconnect with relevant organisations to better consume local farmers’ products,Luan said.
Loi urged agencies and sectors to facilitate theflow of Japanese investments into the province, particularly in hi-techagriculture.
Currently, over 1,000 hectares have been zonedoff for hi-tech agriculture in Loc Ninh, Hon Quang districts and Dong Xoaitownship to lure foreign and domestic investors.
JVPF – Murayama is a Japanese language trainingcentre supported by the Japan-Vietnam Peace and Friendship PromotionCouncil (JVPF) with former Japanese Prime Minister Murayama as itspresident.-VNA
