Hanoi (VNA) – The Government of Bangladesh announced on November 23 that its countryand the neighbouring Myanmar have agreed on returning Rohingya Muslim refugeesin two months.
The fled people canbegin returning home within two months, according to a statement from theBangladesh foreign ministry after the talks between Minister A.H. Mahmood Aliand Myanmar State Counselor and Foreign Minister Aung San SuuKyi in Nay Pyi Daw, Myanmar.
Earlier the sameday, the two nations signed a deal to return hundreds of thousands of RohingyaMuslims who fled to Bangladesh, following a three-phase solution proposed byChinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Myanmar officialMyint Kyaing said the country was ready to receive the Rohingya as soon aspossible after receiving personal information forms of the returners.
