Hanoi (VNA) - Local budget carrier Bamboo Airways needs at least40 aircraft this year for route expansion, a company representative said on May5.
The carrier will increase flight frequency on the Hanoi to HCM City, NhaTrang, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot, and Pleiku routes andthe HCM City to Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Quy Nhon, and Vinh routes.
Depending on the COVID-19 situation abroad, it also plans to resumeflights to the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China), and the Czech Republic.
The airline will also launch new routes to East Asia, Europe, the Americas,and Oceania, and will consider other promising new routes.
It currently has 22 aircraft, including one A319, 11 A320s, seven A321s,and three B787s.
The carrier plans to conduct flights on 85 routes later this year,including 60 domestic and 25 international routes - a significant increase from34 and 6, respectively, at present./.
