Bach Mai doctors support poor ethnic people in Lai Chau

A delegation of doctors from Hanoi-based Bach Mai Hospital and young people from northern cities and provinces have visited poor ethnic households in Than Uyen district in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau.

Between January 10 and 12, the delegationprovided free check-ups and medicine to Thai and Mong people in Pha Mucommune, one of the poorest areas in Than Uyen districts.

More than 450 gifts, including blankets, mosquito nets, warm clothes andeducational tools, were channeled to families living in specialdifficulties and local students.

Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy, headof the delegation, expressed her hope that the programme will help bringa warm spring to poor families in Lai Chau province.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
