Bac Ninh (VNA) – Authorities in the northernprovince of Bac Ninh licenced 92 new foreign-funded projects worth 206.58million USD in the first half of 2018, up 3.29 percent from the same periodlast year.

The province also allowed 45 existing FDI projects to add211.11 million USD to their capital.

Head of the provincial Department of Planning and InvestmentNguyen Dinh Xuan attributed the results to the province’s efforts in building afavourable business climate, which has supported investors in research,technology transfer, and land clearance. The investors were also facilitated tocollaborate with universities and vocational centres to meet their demand ofhuman resources.

Xuan said the province held three dialogues betweenauthorities and enterprises during the period to help clear obstacles hinderingtheir business.

By the end of June, Bac Ninh had licenced 1,228FDI projects, with their capital amounting to about 16.66 billion USD. Of thetotal, 836 projects worth 15.5 billion USD were located in local industrialparks.-VNA
