So far this year, nearly 200,000tonnes of lychees, or 85 percent of the province’s lychee output, hasbeen sold at high prices mostly in China, the US, France, Australia, theUK, Malaysia and Laos, said Tran Van Loc, Director of the provincialDepartment of Industry and Trade.
In thedomestic markets of Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and a numberof southern provinces, the price ranges between 10-15,000 VND (0.4-0.7USD) per kilogramme.
The successful consumption was buoyed by active support activitiesconducted by the province, including promotion events across the countryand abroad.
Lychee farmers have also received technical assistance in ensuring their products meet international requirements.-VNA
