Bac Giang province invests in developing transport infrastructure

Besides State capital, the northern province of Bac Giang will attract non-State capital for investment in the field, particularly that from businesses to develop transport services infrastructure like inland waterway ports, bus stations, parking lots, and roadside rest stops.

Bac Giang (VNA) – The northern province of Bac Giang will mobilise resources for investment and development of local transport infrastructure, according to the provincial People’s Committee.

Besides State capital, the province will attract non-State capital for investment in the field, particularly that from businesses to develop transport services infrastructure like inland waterway ports, bus stations, parking lots, and roadside rest stops.

In addition, the province has been focusing on speeding up the construction of key public investment projects; speeding up the investment preparation and construction progress of other projects including the one on the renovation and upgrade of part of National Highway 31- the section from Bac Giang city - Chu township, and the one on the construction and expansion of Nhu Nguyet bridge and interchange at Voi township on the Hanoi - Bac Giang - Lang Son highway.

Provincial roads are expected to soon complete including the road connecting National Highway 37-National Highway 17- Provincial Road 292 (section Viet Yen-Tan Yen-Lang Giang); the road connecting National Highway 37 - National Highway 17 - Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen); the Dong Viet bridge and its approaching road in Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province; and the roads and bridges connecting Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province with Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province.

The province continues to prioritise investment resources to develop the system of district, commune, and rural roads.

Over the last two years, the province has been investing in new routes, especially inter-provincial ones with a total length of about 298 km. The province's road transport system is now concertedly developed, and the gap in traffic density between the plains and the mountainous districts significantly narrowed.

Some important bridge projects have also received investment including Dong Viet, Dong Sone, Chu, Ha Bac II, Hoa Son, A Lu, and Luc Nam at My An port, along with the new one over Thuong river./.
