Ba Ria - Vung Tau (VNA) - Authorities from the southern provinceof Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the Australian state of Western Australia signed amemorandum of understanding (MoU) online on September 16, regarding multifacetedcooperation in economy, education and training, and cultural exchange.
Joint economic work will include creating conditions for businesses fromboth sides to form economic and trade partnerships, as well as organisingannual exchanges of delegations representing sectors such as energy, tourism, thecreative industry, and services.
Meanwhile, educational engagements will link education and trainingorganisations in the province with those in Western Australia, establish jointschools, and seek opportunities relating to training curricula, among others.
They will also cooperate with selected educational and culturalestablishments to exchange artists for the promotion of arts and culture.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Tuan saidthe two localities share similarities in socio-economy, culture, and humanresources, so will make good partners for development.
Bui Quoc Thanh, Vietnamese Consul General to Perth, Western Australia,stressed that amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the signing of the MoU demonstratesthe two sides’ aspirations for cooperation in boosting the Vietnam - Australiastrategic partnership.
