The fisherycentre in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is one of six centres which will bebuilt under the overall plan for fishery development in Vietnam through2020 with a vision to 2030.
This centre willserve as a fishery hub for the Southeastern region, which includes BinhDuong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces, as well as HCM City.
Out of the six centres, five will be majorfishery hubs. The centre in Khanh Hoa for the south central region andTruong Sa islands’ fishing grounds will be completed in 2015.
The four remaining centres, which are located in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, DaNang, Hai Phong and Kien Giang, are calling for investors for the2016-2020 period.-VNA
