HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnam HR Awards 2018 werepresented at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on November 27.
Introduced in Vietnam in 2014, the biennialVietnam HR Awards have been organised by Talentnet and the Labour & SocialAffairs newspaper – the official publication of the Ministry of Labour,Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).
Twelve businesses won prizes in differentcategories which were divided into two groups of “Leading HR Strategy” and“Effective HR Practices”.
Unilever Vietnam was top dog in the formergroup, while The Gioi Di Dong topped the latter as they won the largest numberof categories and gained the highest overall score.
Other award-winning firms include Olam VietnamCo. Ltd, Hoan My Medical Corporation, FPT, Vietinbank, Techcombank, Novalandand FTV – Nokia Manufacturing Service.
MOLISA Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha said theVietnam HR Awards not only honour enterprises with prominent HR management modelsbut also aim to create a platform for the HR community to meet and exchange.
Vietnam needs to improve the quality of itsworkforce so as to make use of benefits generated by free trade agreements amidthe Fourth Industrial Revolution. Therefore, businesses’ participation in thisprogramme showed the Vietnam HR Awards have become an encouragement for HRquality improvement, she added.
Tieu Yen Trinh, Talentnet Director General anddeputy head of the organising board, said each Vietnam HR Awards season helpsparticipating companies assess both strong and weak points in their HRstrategies and learn from each other’s experience.
Their HR policies have become more and moreprofessional and increasingly match international standards, she noted, addingthat award winners will be an inspiration for other firms to improve theirstaff and develop sustainably.-VNA
