Australia gives child healthcare equipment to Khanh Hoa Hospital

The Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City presented 18 pieces of newborn healthcare equipment to the Khanh Hoa General Hospital on April 2 in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.
The Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City presented 18 piecesof newborn healthcare equipment to the Khanh Hoa General Hospital onApril 2 in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.

The equipment, worth nearly one billion VND (46,000 USD), wasco-funded through the Australian Government and the Vina Capital Fund.

The move is a step towards ensuring access tohealthcare for local children, said Australian Consul General to Ho ChiMinh City John McAnulty.

The donation is part ofactivities for the Australian Direct Aid Programme for Vietnam, aimingto improve child healthcare services and minimise the rate of childmortality in the province and its vicinity.-VNA
