Ceremony marks 25th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association (Source: http://dangcongsan.vn)During the 2011-2017 tenure, the associationmade active contributions to propelling the two countries’ relations in cultureand economy forward, thus strengthening the bilateral traditional friendship.
In the next tenure, the association pledges tospare no efforts to help Romanian people better their understanding of the landand people of Vietnam as well as the Vietnamese Party and State’s internal andexternal policies, and renovation accomplishments.
It will focus on expanding Vietnam-Romania cooperationin economy, culture, education, science-technology, and environmentalprotection.
Vice President and General Secretary of the VUFODon Tuan Phong recognised the association’s significant contributions topromoting peace, solidarity and friendship between the Vietnamese and Romanianpeople.
He urged the association to continuouslyconsolidate the bilateral partnership and develop its membership, especiallyyoungsters.
Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Valeriu Arteniexpressed his belief that the sixth congress marks a new milestone in theassociation’s development and actively contributes to the reinforcement andenhancement of the friendship between the two nations.
On this occasion, Phong presented the “For Peaceand Friendship Among Nations” insignia and certificate of merit to collectivesand individuals who have made remarkable contributions to people-to-peopleexchanges in the previous tenure.-VNA
