ASEAN, RoK renew commitment to forge closer cooperation

The meeting reviewed ASEAN-RoKcooperation over the past year and discussed its future direction,particularly on the progress of implementation of the ASEAN-RoK Plan ofAction 2011-2015.
The meeting acknowledged the progress ofimplementation of the POA and highlighted the need for both sides tore-double efforts to implement the remaining measures.
They alsoagreed to work closely in finalising the ASEAN-RoK action plan for2016-2020 to reflect new commitments that will further strengthencooperation between the two sides as well as contribute to the ASEANCommunity-building process.
Both sides discussed ways to enhancethe efficiency and effectiveness of ASEAN-RoK development cooperation,including by exploring new possible approaches to expedite the projectappraisal and approval process and to enhance the utilisation of theASEAN-RoK Cooperation Funds.-VNA
