Prague (VNA) – Anetworking programme aiming to connect Czech enterprises to the Association ofSoutheast Asian Nations (ASEAN) took place in Prague in the evening of November15.
Co-organised by the ASEANCommittee in Prague and the embassies of Vietnam and Thailand in the CzechRepublic, the event gathered representatives from 30 leading companies in thecountry.
Speaking at the event, both CzechDeputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa and President of the CZECH TOP100 Association Jan Struž emphasised the importance of multifaceted relationsand economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and ASEAN.
They voiced their hope that tradeand investment ties would grow in conformity with expectations of both sides.

In an interview with the VietnamNews Agency (VNA)’s correspondent, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech RepublicHo Minh Tuan said Vietnam acts as a bridge between the Czech Republic and ASEAN,while the Czech Republic is considered as a gateway for Vietnam to enter Centraland East Europe.
The Czech Republic regards Vietnamas one of 12 prioritised areas for economic cooperation, with Vietnam rankingthird among the Czech Republic’s biggest trade partners in ASEAN, behindThailand and Indonesia.
