The 7th edition of the charity programme was organised by the Gia Dinhva Tre Em (Family and Children) magazine in association with theVietnam Television (VTV) and the Nha Bao va Cong Luan (Journalist andPublic Opinion) newspaper in response to the Action Month for Childrenand International Children’s Day (June 1).
The programme will be held at Hanoi Opera House and broadcast live on VTV2 channel on late May 30.
Vietnam has more than 6.7 million people with disabilities, including1.2 million children, over 330,000 orphans and nearly 25,000Orange/Dioxin victim children.
In addition, theorganising board will donate part of sum raised during the event toprovide free surgeries for eight children with congenital heart diseasesand present 100 savings books, 30 scholarships and 100 gift packages topoor children nationwide.-VNA
