APEC forum for women leaders to be held in Singapore

Singapore will host the 14th APEC Women Leaders Network (WLN) Meeting on August 4 and 5, Channel News Asia (CNA) reported.
Singapore will host the 14th APEC Women Leaders Network (WLN) Meeting on August 4 and 5, Channel News Asia (CNA) reported.

More than 400 people will be attending the two-day forum, under the theme of “Women and sustainable development in APEC.”

The network is a premier platform to promote the participation of womenin economic and trade activities, Singaporean Minister of State forCommunity Development, Youth and Sports, Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, was quotedby CNA as saying on July 15.

Singapore will also host an APEC digital economy forum for women on August 3./.

Indonesia begins major oil, gas exploration in Sulawesi

Indonesia's state-owned oil company Pertamina, along with foreign partners Sinopec from China and Kuwait’s Kufpec, has signed a contract to explore the Melati oil and gas block, located off the coast of Sulawesi. The block is estimated to contain trillions of cubic feet of gas reserves.
