Hanoi (VNA) –
The Vietnam BusinessSummit themed “Vietnam: We Mean Business!” is scheduled to take place in thecentral coastal city of Da Nang on November 7 within the framework of the APECEconomic Leaders’ Week 2017.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will deliver aspeech at the event.

The summit creates an excellent opportunity forforeign investors to study economic development policies and investment andcooperation potentials in Vietnam as well as enables domestic and overseasenterprises to share information regarding trade and integration trends andcooperation experience in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region.

Participants will discuss a wide range ofissues, including sustainable agriculture, financial services for development,health care and education, infrastructure, special economic zones, tourismpotential, start-ups and innovation.

In parallelwith the summit is the “Vietnam – We Mean Business” exhibition featuring thecountry’s typical products and projects for investment appeal.

Establishedin 1989, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum comprises 21economies, including Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong-China,Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, PapuaNew Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand,the US, and Vietnam.

Vietnambecame a member of APEC 19 years ago, an important milestone in theimplementation of the Party and State’s external policies of expansion,diversification and multilateralisation of relations and international economicintegration.

The APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2017, which isunderway in Da Nang city, is the most important external event of Vietnam thisyear, with the participation of leaders from the 21 member economies.-VNA
