Two Lao drug traffickers with nearly 11kg of heroin have been detained by anti-drug forces of the central province of Thanh Hoa and the neighbouring Lao province of Houaphan.

Thanh Hoa (VNA) – Two Lao drug traffickers with nearly 11kg of heroin have been detained by anti-drug forces of the central province of Thanh Hoa and the neighbouring Lao province of Houaphan.

At 11 am of June 18, Thao Xay Ho, 40, from Sam Neua district of Houaphan province was surprised while trafficking four heroin bricks weighing nearly 1.5kg in Sop Bau district of the same province.

Based on what Ho confessed, the Vietnamese and Lao forces arrested Thao Xo Vang in a village of Sam Neua at 1:30 pm of June 22 while he was carrying 43 synthetic drug pills.

The relevant forces also seized 9.5kg of heroin at Vang’s house.

Further investigation is underway in Houaphan province.-VNA
