Annual blood donation festival to be launched

The Xuan Hong (Red Spring) Blood Donation Festival 2015 will be held at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on March 8.
The Xuan Hong (Red Spring) Blood Donation Festival 2015 will be held at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on March 8.

Nguyen Anh Tri, Director of the National Institute of Hematology andBlood Transfusion, highlighted the drive at a voluntary blooddonation festival on February 24 to kick-start the annual eventnationwide.

He expressed his hope that the initiative will get warm response from agencies and individuals to save more lives.

Over the past 10 years, many lives have been saved by 6.4 million units of blood collected from donors.-VNA

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
