An ancient French villa in downtown Hanoi suddenly collapsed on September 22, leaving five seriously injured.
The villa was located at No. 107 Tran Hung Dao street, Hoan Kiem district, accommodating about 20 people at the time of the incident, which occurred at 12:50 pm.
Hundreds of soldiers, police and fire-fighters with search and rescue equipment were deployed to the scene several minutes after the collapse.
As of 2 pm, 15 had been taken out of the house, including five who were hospitalised.
According to local residents, at least two are still trapped inside.
The cause of the collapse is being investigated.-VNA
