Around 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnel historical site is situated in Phu My Hung commune, in the city’s Cu Chi district.
During Vietnamese resistance wars against the French colonials and US imperialists, the soldiers and people of Cu Chi created a legendary “military wonder”, using rudimentary tools to build a 250-kilometre network of underground tunnels. They symbolise the strong will, resilience, desire for independence, and freedom of the Vietnamese people./.
