At a meeting with Governor of the Moravian-SilesianRegion Ivo Vondrak, he listed priority cooperation areas between the twocountries as well as their localities like tourism, education and labour.
Tuan said the two countries should push for the signingof an agreement on education cooperation to facilitate the exchange ofstudents.
For his part, Ivo Vondrak highly valued traditional cooperation between theMoravian-Silesian Region and Vietnam and briefed his guest on the region’sstrength such as education, mining and auto manufacturing.
On this occasion, Tuan met with representatives of the Vietnamese Associationin the Moravian-Silesian Region and its capital city of Ostrava, and Vietnamesebusinesses. He also joined themid-autumn festival of Vietnamese children in the locality.
About 800 Vietnamese are living in the Moravian-Silesian Region with one thirdof them holding the Czech nationality. -VNA
