Hanoi (VNA) – All passenger transport services from/to the centralcity of Da Nang were allowed to be fully restored as from 0:00 on September 7,as the COVID-19 outbreak in the city has been put under control.
The Ministry ofTransport sent a document to the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam, the CivilAviation Authority of Vietnam, the Vietnam Railways, the Vietnam MaritimeAdministration, the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration, and localTransport Departments, on the resumption of all passenger transport services at100 percent of frequency to serve travel demand and support economic recovery.
At the same time,epidemic preventive measures will still be strictly maintained, with passengersrequired to file medical report and wear masks. Vehicles can carry no more thanhalf of the number of passengers as well as follow pandemic prevention andcontrol measures.
The national flagcarrier Vietnam Airlines on September 7 resumed flights connecting Hanoi and HoChi Minh City with Da Nang.
Accordingly, thecarrier will conduct a round-trip flight each on the Hanoi-Da Nang and HCM City-DaNang routes every day from September 7-10.
The schedule fromSeptember 11 will be updated by the carrier based on the epidemic situation andrequirements of authorities.
The airline willcontinue applying disease prevention and control measures before, during andafter each flight.
Da Nang, site of thelatest outbreak of COVID-19 since July 25, started loosening social distancing measurescaused by COVID-19 pandemic starting from 0:00 on September 5, after theepidemic had been put under control./.
