Airbus, Vietnam Airlines provide transport of medical equipment

Hanoi (VNA) – The Airbus Foundation and the national flagcarrier Vietnam Airlines jointly have carried 31 kidney dialysis machines andmedical equipment to Hanoi Nephorology Hospital.

The batch of medical equipment was transported by plane A350 XWB which landedat Noi Bai International Airport on March 16. This is the seventh new aircraft handedover to Vietnam Airlines by Airbus.

The equipment was donated by Professor Jean J.Conte of Midi-Pyrénées SantéUniversitaire Purpan Health Organisation in Toulouse, France.

Since 1990, 307 kidney dialysis machines and 1,500 books along with numerousmedical equipment have been delivered by Airbus to Vietnam, supporting operationsof three kidney dialysis centres and benefiting nearly 1,000 patients.

Professor Jean J.Conte, who is an Honorary President of Paul SabatierUniversity in Toulouse, France and honorary citizen of Hanoi, has assistedresearch activities and patients in Vietnam for many years.-VNA
