AIA insurance group commits long-term operation in Vietnam

Tuckermade the remarks while meeting with Vice Chairwoman of the NationalAssembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan in Hanoi on February 5.

The Vietnamese legislator said she welcomed the AIA’s activities tosupport underprivileged, disabled children, orphans, and flood victims,alongside business operations meeting financial protection andaccumulation purposes of organisations and individuals.

She underlined the Vietnamese State’s policy of opening theinsurance market in line with international commitments, and encouragingvarious operation forms of insurance businesses at home and abroad.

In the coming time, the State-run insurance agency will improvepolicies and mechanisms in the field to help businesses weatherdifficulties and secure sustainable market development.

She suggested the AIA continue to strengthen legal business activitiesand help Vietnam improve the legal framework for the insurancebusiness environment via exchanging information on business practicesand international standards.-VNA
