On thesame day, a forum will be held to help women better their role asbusiness leaders, boost gender equality in business, as well as honourtheir initiatives and creativeness in their works.
Five outstanding collectives and 10 individuals will be announced atthe 2013 Vietnamese Women awarding ceremony, which will be broadcastlive.
An exhibition highlighting women’sinitiatives and creative works in the economic sector, which have beensuccessfully applied in the reality, will be organised at the VietnameseWomen’s Museum throughout October.
The event ispart of activities to mark the 2013 Vietnamese Women’s Innovation Dayco-organised by the Vietnam’s Women Union, the World Bank and the UNWomen Vietnam Country Office, with the aim of encouraging initiatives toraise the power and economic capacity of Vietnamese women.
Also at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum from September 27 to October 6,high-quality products by women-owned businesses in the garment andtextile, handicraft and agricultural product processing sectors will beput on display.
These activities aim tocelebrate the 83rd founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Unionand the Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20).-VNA
