This is among the moves to enable the National Load Dispatch Centre ofVietnam (NLDC) to run the power wholesale market in January 2016.
Other measures include automating complicated calculating processes toensure transparency and recruiting high-quality engineers to operatethe electricity market efficiently, deputy director Vu Xuan Khu said.
In mid-2015, the centre will put into operation thesupervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and energy managementsystem ( EMS ) to facilitate the power system administration andtransaction.
In 2014, as many as 55 power plants directly joined the market, up 14.5 percent year-on-year.
The NLDC earned 70.5 trillion VND or 3.3 billion USD in sales, a yearly rise of 2.2 percent.
The Vietnam national grid has an installed capacity of nearly34,000 MW, standing third among Southeast Asian countries and 31 st onthe global scale.-VNA
