Hanoi (VNA) - A 6-magnitude earthquake jolted the central island province of Leyte, the Philippines at 10:16 GMT on May 3, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.The epicentre was at a depth of 10 km.
There were no reports from Philippine authorities about damage or casualties caused by the offshore quake.
The archipelago nation is in the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” where volcanic activity and earthquakes are common./.
