Vietnam confirmed 62 new cases of COVID-19, including three imported ones, in the past six hours to 6pm on June 18, according to the Health Ministry.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam confirmed 62new cases of COVID-19, including three imported ones, in the past six hours to 6pmon June 18, according to the Health Ministry. 

The three imported cases were quarantined upon arrival in Tay Ninh and Quang Nam provinces.

Among the 59 domestic infections, 30 were found in Ho Chi Minh City, 19 in BacGiang, six in Bac Ninh, three in Ha Tinh, and one in Hoa Binh. Of them, 46were detected in quarantine or blocked areas.

So far, the country has documented 12,414 infections.

As many as 80 patients were given the all-clear on June 18, raising the totalof recoveries to 4,733 while the death toll was 62.

Among active patients under treatment at hospitals,415 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 100 twice and 71thrice.

Twenty-five provinces have gone through 14 days without detecting new cases.Since April 29, over 5.14 million people across the country have receivedCOVID-19 testing./.
