Speaking at the event, Alon Melchior, manager of the centre’s internationaltraining courses, said that the 11- month course was designed for Asianstudents, giving them an insight into Israel’s modern agriculture.
Trainees could access international standards and state-of-the-art technologiesand agriculture management methods, he added.
The RNDARC currently runs 70 agriculture training courses on post-harvesttechnology, husbandry and management skills in agriculture businesses, amongothers.
Melchior said that the centre expects to receive 300 trainees for the 2017-2018course and many Israeli farm owners want to recruit Vietnamese labourers.
Meanwhile, Khuat Van Quyen, First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy inIsrael, affirmed that Israel is a successful startup country with modernagriculture.
He hoped that the Vietnamese graduates, with knowledge and experience acquiredin Israel, will help develop agriculture in their homeland.
Training courses in Israel have attracted thousands of Vietnamese studentssince 2008, giving them the chance to practice English, receive training inhigh-tech agriculture and work on farms.
Currently, there are four Israeli centres offering training for Vietnamesestudents, including AICAT Arava, Ramat Negev, Sdot Negev and Agrostudies.-VNA
