3.1 trillion VND allocated to develop tertiary education

The Prime Minister has asked the Ministry of Planning and Investment to collaborate with relevant ministries to allocate a 3.1 trillion VND (144.2 million USD) loan from the World Bank to improve facilities and education quality in public universities.

The capital allocationwill concentrate on unfinished projects as well as projects fulfillinginvestment procedures in line with current regulations, the PM said.

ThePM also asked the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry ofJustice, Ministry of Construction, Vietnam National University-Hanoi andVietnam National University-HCM City to complete investment proceduresfor new projects.

Capital spent on construction and equipment must be based on university education demands.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
