Kon Tum (VNA) – As many as 27 wild animalswere released into their natural habitat on January 11 by the Wildlife Rescueand Protection Centre at the Chu Mom Ray National Park in the Central Highlandsprovince of Kon Tum.
The animals include nine monkeys, 12 turtles, pythons,civets and iguanas, among others.
Most of the animals were rescued from illegal traders inthe locality and were sent to the park in weak conditions. Some of the animals have been in the park’s caresince 2016.
In the last two years, the centre returned 153 wildanimals to the forest.-VNA
