The opening and closing ceremonies will be broadcastlive on national television and radio channels, and many others, according toStanding Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA) Nguyen DucLoi, head of the festival’s organising committee.
The festival will be co-chaired by the VJA and theHanoi People’s Committee in coordination with the Party Central Committee’sCommission for Information and Education, the Ministry of Information andCommunications and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
As the biggest festival in the press circle, theevent is expected to bring together 63 journalists’ associations of cities andprovinces and 60 central and local press agencies, with 87 booths displayingoutstanding publications in 2022 and the first quarter of this year.
The organisers will present awards for the best Tet(Lunar New Year) magazine cover photo, the best news website design, and thebest TV and radio programmes, along with an award for organisations andindividuals with outstanding activities at the festival.
There will be a series of sidelines events like seminars,workshops, exhibitions, a singing contest, a football tournament and artperformances.
Loi stressed that the festival celebrates greatachievements the country has recorded in reforms, highlights contributions andthe strong development of Vietnam’s revolutionary press, and promotes pressworks.
It is also intended to enhance the exchange betweenjournalists and readers, and honour contributions by individuals, organisationsand businesses to Vietnam’s revolutionary press, he added./.
