Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavath on January 15 cut theribbon to open a trade fair held to raise the domestic consumption andcompetitiveness of Made-in-Laos products in the market.
On display are handicrafts, farm produce, garments and textiles,foodstuff and household goods at over 300 booths laid by 125 Laobusinesses, including 77 pavilions of wooden furniture, popular nationalproducts.
The event will help Lao firms increasetheir trade exchange and promotion as well as partnerships, in a bid toraise the country’s production and the capacity of Lao manufacturers.
The fair will run until January 19.-VNA
